As a way of reducing
proximity effect and parasitic capacitance, RF coils are created to not have several
turns that are lying close and parallel to each other. RF coils have windings
that are usually wound on a single layer, with turns spaced apart. In order to diminish
resistance because of skin effect, the windings in an RF inductor may be made of
metal with a larger silver-plated surface area.
